How the Wallet Works

InfluTo uses an escrow wallet system. You pre-fund your wallet, and we automatically pay influencers monthly from your balance.

Wallet Balance Types

Available: Funds ready to use for new conversions
Reserved: Funds allocated to pending commissions
Total: Available + Reserved

Example Wallet:
  Available: $850
  Reserved: $150 (pending month-end payout)
  Total: $1,000

Adding Funds

Step 1: Go to Billing

Dashboard → Billing
Click "Add Funds"

Step 2: Enter Amount

Minimum: $50
Recommended: 2-3 months of predicted burn rate
Maximum: No limit

Step 3: Complete Payment

Redirected to Stripe Checkout
Enter card details (secured by Stripe)
Complete payment
Funds available immediately

Burn Rate Prediction

The dashboard shows predicted monthly costs:

Daily Burn Rate: $12.50
Monthly Prediction: $375

Based on:
  • Average 15 conversions/day
  • Average $9.99 subscription price
  • 30% commission rate
  • 5% platform fee

Recommendation: Maintain $1,000+ balance
  → Covers ~2.7 months of commissions

How It's Calculated

Last 30 days of conversion data
Average daily commission + platform fees
Includes 72-hour attribution buffer
Plus 20% safety buffer for variance

Automatic Payments

Monthly Payout Schedule

Processing Date: 1st of each month at 1:00 AM UTC
Payment Period: Previous calendar month
Minimum Payout: $50 per influencer
Payment Method: Stripe Connect (direct to bank)

Example Timeline

January 1-31: Conversions happen → Commissions accumulate
February 1: Automatic payout created
February 1-3: Stripe processes payments
February 3-7: Funds arrive in influencers' bank accounts

Low Balance Protection

What Happens When Balance is Low

Warning at 20%: Email notification sent
Alert at 10%: Dashboard shows prominent alert
Auto-Pause at $0: Campaigns paused until refunded

⚠️ Campaign Pausing

When balance hits $0, active campaigns are automatically paused to prevent overdrafts. Influencer links return an error until you refund your wallet.

Transaction History

View all wallet activity:

Deposits (your payments via Stripe)
Reservations (when conversions happen)
Payouts (monthly influencer payments)
Refund clawbacks (if users refund)

Platform Fees

Standard Fee: 5%

Charged on gross subscription revenue:

Subscription: $10/month
Commission to influencer: $3 (30%)
Platform fee to InfluTo: $0.50 (5%)
Total cost to you: $3.50

You pay: $3.50
Influencer gets: $3.00
InfluTo fee: $0.50

Enterprise Pricing

High-volume apps can get reduced fees:

$10K+/month: 4% platform fee
$50K+/month: 3% platform fee
$100K+/month: Custom pricing

Withdrawal

Not supported - All funds are used to pay influencers.

This escrow model ensures influencers always get paid and prevents fraud. Only add funds you're comfortable allocating to commissions.

Refund Handling

What Happens on Refund

User requests refund from app store
RevenueCat sends REFUND webhook
InfluTo processes refund:
- If in same month: Commission not paid
- If already paid: Deducted from next payout (clawback)
Wallet balance adjusted

Best Practices

Initial Funding

Start with $500-1,000
Covers 50-100 conversions at 30% of $10 subscriptions
Monitor for first month, adjust as needed

Ongoing Management

Set up low-balance email alerts
Review burn rate weekly
Refund when balance drops below 1 month runway
Consider auto-refill for hands-off operation

Seasonal Planning

Increase balance before marketing pushes
Account for holiday conversion spikes
Review predictions after campaign changes
